A striking vintage Japanese haori in a rich, vibrant red with an elegant woven geometric pattern and traditional open-front silhouette.

The fabric has a luxurious silk feel with a beautiful drape. There is no fabric content tag present, so the exact fiber content is unknown.

The ivory lining features a delicate pink traditional motif, adding a beautiful hidden detail. This haori appears to have seen little to no wear and still retains the original white basting (stay) stitches placed throughout the garment during manufacture or storage—often an indication that it was never prepared for regular wear.

Condition is very good vintage with light age-related wear. There is one small stain on the interior lining, shown in the photographs with a quarter for scale. A few loose threads from the original stay stitching are present and can be removed if desired.
